Hello Scout Family! I hope you all enjoyed Halloween last night! Thankfully the rain went away just in time for trick or treating! Just a few updates coming your way.
November 7 - Den Meetings per normal schedule
November 12- Bird House Building with BASF. There are still a few spots open. There is an address correction: we will meet at 3304 Westinghouse Blvd. at 9am that Saturday. Details: We have been invited to work with scientists from BASF to build birdhouses for the nesting bluebirds that they have seen on site. The Sustainability Team at BASF will cut and prepare the materials for 30 scouts to each build a birdhouse. These will then be mounted on poles and placed around the BASF property to increase their Wildlife Habitat contribution. The time spent here will go towards conservation/service hours. And for Wolf, Bear, Webelos and AOL, this would count as the conservation project for your World Conservation Badge. Siblings may attend, but the program and birdhouse building is for cubscouts only. To sign up go to link in your email.
November 14 - Den Meetings per normal schedule
November 21 - No meetings due to Thanksgiving week
November 28 - Pack Meeting focusing on First Responders
December 2 - Christmasville Parade!!!!! We have registered our Pack to be part of the parade! Only 50 cubs are permitted to walk the parade per the Christmasville rules. Sign ups will be available starting next Monday on a first come - first serve basis. Pay attention to your emails next Monday for that sign up! Parade rules: 1. You MUST be in full Class A uniform to walk. 2. You MUST be able to walk 1.5 miles for the entire route. 3. Parents, do not assume you will be able to walk with your scout. We can only have about 10 leaders/adults walking. Parents will drop off their scouts at the beginning of the route near Winthrop and pick them up at the end of the route near Fountain Park.
April 1 - Kennedy Space Center trip. We still have a few spots open for our NASA trip. If you would like to attend, please send me an email with names attending and food allergies. Remember that any children attending MUST be between the ages of 7 and 14. This is a Kennedy Space Center rule, not ours. And every cub must have a parent or legal guardian attending with them.
